New Author! The Competition, Mohawk, DE Glitch and New Ad

Hi buddies! This is Stang.

Today is very special because we have a new author and also a lot of other special news.

Before we get to that, however, here is the Monday rare, the Rare Spiked Mohawk!

Author Tryouts Results

Seven people commented who they were, what their Google email was, and why they can or would want to be an author.

Umbrella, Transforming Eagle Glitch, and How to Easily Get to a French Server

Hi buddies! This is Stang.

Thank you Snowytaco for posting while I was away. Talking about being away, I will be on vacation for three weeks without Internet for most of the time. I will announce the new author tomorrow or possibly later today if Snowytaco replies early.

Anyway, today's new item is the Umbrella Hat!
It is found in the Summer Carnival, selling for 1,000 tickets, or if you buy tickets, 500 gems.

Thank you Katniss605 for showing me this glitch (she's the arctic wolf and eagle)! 

This is another way to have an animal stand somewhere off-limit (except for eagles). 

1. Turn into an eagle and fly to the spot you want
2. Turn into any land* animal other than an eagle
3. The animal will try to go back to the path but you have to click it back to anywhere off-limits and it will eventually stop involuntarily straying

*We do not know if it works with water animals 

Katniss605 also showed me how to get to a French Server (easily)!

Just search up "FlagShop" and go to her/his den, and you will be in a French server right away! But sometimes if you go to a land, for example Jamaa Township, you will be teleported back to your original language place. 

I'm just speaking random French...

If you click the blue button, this will pop up.

Diamond Tiara!

Hey Jammers! This is SnowyTaco posting today!

So today's newest item is the Diamond Tiara! It costs 1,250 gems and is sold at Epic Wonders (Green Orb)! I'm pretty sure it was based off the design of yesterday's item, the Diamond Crown. I don't think these two royalty items will be part of the Hatapalooza, unfortunately.

Rhinos Return, Hatapalooza, The Claw, and New Carnival Additions

Todays new item is The Horse Claw in the Diamond Shop for 3 diamonds. It seems strange how AJHQ would put a "The" in front of the name.

There's a new Jamaa Journal today!

Rhinos are back! Hooray!

Now you can buy rhinos--that is, if you are a member. 

Here's the new Daily Explorer post: it's a short, cute cartoon about rhinos and birds. 

The phantoms are up to no good. Again. 

A new adventures which I predict is members and underwater is coming soon!

New carnival additions!

There's a new game called Dunk-The-Phantom, which you'll see in the next picture, and also new prizes! The prizes are bought, not won.

Dunk a Phantom is located in between the arrow shooting game and Phantom Ball in the Summer Carnival. 

You shoot green balls at targets to dunk the phantom. This is a timed game, so you get unlimited balls.

AJ Academy, Pinterest and Youtube and Also a Chair and Mystery

Hi buddies! This is Stang posting today.

Today's new item is a follow up from tomorrows! Turns out, you don't need those wooden chairs, because AJHQ made a new chair to match the terrace table!

Here's the mystery! 

On the Animal Jam home page, there are a bunch of alphas and animals. On the left and right side there are two blue flags, fluttering in opposite directions, which would mean two different winds within a small area. 

I don't know if this is possible (maybe in tornadoes) but it certainly is odd. 

I decided to check out AJ Academy because I haven't been on it for a while. 

It's changed!

Also I noticed that the sides are grass and flowers instead of phantoms. 

The thing that really instruiged me was the "Follow Us" box. 

I never knew AJHQ has a Pinterest!

Here's their Youtube, too. (I knew this one existed.)

They post one video at a time on the news board at Jamaa Township.

Crispymint is Back! And Terraces and Enchinoderms

Crispymint is back! (As I have mentioned in yesterday's post.) She's been away from posting for quite a while, but now she is able to play Animal Jam again! Unfortunately, she will not be able to post everyday so we are getting a new author very soon!

Today's new item is the Terrace Table! 

It looks really cool, all you have to add is some wooden chairs! Seems summer themed to me.

Samurai Crystal Soccer Bunnies and Howling Wolf

Hi buddies! Sorry for all of these late posts.

Crispymint played Animal Jam yesterday. She's able to play and possibly post, but not everyday, so we're (most-likely) going to get a new author! I sent out emails for the qualifying authors and gave them fake assignments to choose the best one.

Before I show you guys the Monday Rare, here's a cool picture from the Coral Canyons!

If you go up to the bridge, you'll see a flying hawk and a wolf in the background. The wolf emerges form the left side of the mountain and walks to the cliff. It howls for a while, then slips down behind. Pretty cool, eh?

Anyway, today's Monday Rare is the Rare Samurai Helmet!

Quilted Blanket, Patches, Signs and Pillows

Hi buddies! Sorry for the really bad post yesterday. (This is Stang.)

The new item today is the Quilted Blanket. It looks a lot like the patched series despite the color difference. It is located in the Shiveer Shoppe. (I photo edited the shop words on top of the blanket.)

This is yesterday's item, the Patched Couch. 

I was going to put this on extras but I felt like inserting this fun little tidbit on the daily post :)

Did you know the SALE sign reads: "Everything you need for you den."

And also, the yellow pillow on the left has a design that hasn't been released yet...(I think 0-0)

I finally can update the Extras page! Yay! So, yeah, go there for new stuff :)

Patched Couch (Another Fast Post)

Patched Chair and Strange Den Item Fading Strobe Light

Hi buddies! This is Stang. Sorry for such a late post >.<

Anyway, Happy Freedom Day, jammers.

The new item is the Patched Chair, from the Kimbara Outback!
I guess this is the start of a patched series, already including the rug.

I couldn't make a GIF because I don't really have that much time, but when I was moving around my den stuff, the box around all the den items was like a fading on and off strobe light. Yellow fade on, fade off, on, off, on off, and so on. 

Did this happen to your guys?

Freedom Knight Helmet and Nine Gorgeous AJ Backgrounds!

Hi buddies! This is Stang.

Currently I'm working on a new special post. It's going to be a surprise :)
The mini-tour post for people new to Animal Jam pretty much ready but I don't feel like the time is right to post it.

Anyway, tomorrow is the American holiday July 4th, which is what the Freedom Party is all about, which is where the new item is located! (The Freedom Party, not July 4th.)

Today I was looking around the shops for the new items when I noticed that the Telescope was in the Outback Imports! (A shop in Kimbara.)

Wasn't it in that shop at the Temple of Zios? So I went to the zios shop and realized that they took away a lot of stuff! Are they making more room for new items?

Freedom Days, Lightning, and GERMAN Sever!

Hi buddies! This is Stang.

I'm going on vacation from mid-June to the beginning of August so I most likely won't be able to post because I won't have a computer. However, I might be able to look at the blog, check on it and comment. Snowytaco won't be able to post at around the same time period so Crispymint may post.

Anyway, today's new item is the cool Lightning Necklace from the Summer Carnival!
I really wish you could directly go to the summer carnival by clicking the button, which was present last year, below "Phantom Adventures".

It's about Freedom Days. 

What really caught my interest was at the bottom of the post, it talked about backgrounds. I've always seen a lot of really pretty Animal Jam background on Google Images or other blogs, but I couldn't never find where they came from. I will post all 9 background tomorrow, because this post already has a lot of pictures (German Sever! :D). 

Here's three pictures from Iceclaw28730! She somehow landed in a new German server! 

(All of the Animal Jam ones, the German flag is from Google Images.)

Notice the flag on the left side of the typing area for chat. 

It it a German Flag. 

Here's some jammers speaking German in the new server. 

The settings tab is in German too, except for the server name, which isn't exactly any real language at all, since AJHQ made it up. (Although they are connected to some words, for example, a "Gila monster" is an animal!)
