Here's a mini guide to the Freedom Party!

This is a stitched picture of the entire map (it's relatively small). I kind of wish the map was bigger, so we could have space, but at the same time, I feel like it makes us more social :)

On the right side, you can buy hats. They're all animal hats, except for the Freedom Hood with Feather hat. (Item not pictured: Freedom Chicken Hat)

On the left side are new freedom party furniture items! They look very circus -like.

Llamas! Plus a Secret Update

Hey buddies, this is Stang!

Llamas are here! You can buy one now in the Diamond Shop for 10 diamonds, as usual.

Here are the llama actions:

Dance - llamas side step left and right, bringing up the legs on one side up when switching sides.

Sleep (see the llama in the bottom right sections). 

Hop! The llama hops just average; not too high, not too low.

Play! The llamas prance around their name tag, giving an occasional kick.

Battle for The Beacon Gameplay!

Piglets, Beacon Battles, and More!

Hi buddies, this is Stang!

Here is another update!

Now you can buy pet piglets in the Diamonds Shop. I wonder if there's going to be an avatar that comes with it, like a wild boar. (All AJ avatars are wild animals.)

They cost three diamonds. In addition, I don't know if I've shown this before, but there's also a gecko pet.

There's a new adventure for all players called Battles for the Beacon. Kat will post a video about it later :)

If you're an eagle or an owl, you can attend the new Cloud Party (unfortunately, members-only).

Summer Carnival Guide, Llama Secrets, Feedback and More!

Sorry for this late update post; Kat was supposed to do it but the blog can't wait too long (sorry Kat) so here it is!

The Summer Carnival is here! Now you can play games to win tickets, and in turn, use those tickets to buy cool prizes!

I stitched together a HUGE map of the whole summer carnival! (Some parts are unreachable for non-eagles, though, and I don't know how to glitch it.)

New Game, Contest Results, and Cheetahs!

Cheetahs are back! You can buy one now at the Diamond Shop or learn about them in the museum.

There's a new buddy game! :D

Buddy games are really fun, especially if it has another special purpose, but I really wish you could earn more gems from it. 

The new game is a bowling game. First, the ball goes left and right (click to stop it). Next, there is an arrow rotating left and rights; click to determine your angle. 

Aim for the middle to strike!

If you miss, you get another chance. (I think you get a second chance on the third card.)

Beach House, Den Themes, and Item Sets

Hi buddies, it's Stang!

Here's an update post! I'm also including the legion of new items as well, since I thought you might want to know what they are.

The latest update brings a new den, called the Beach House! A little part of it was shown to us in a previous Jamaa Journal. (Oops, I mistaken it for another remodel of Crystal Sands.)

The Beach House sells for 7 diamonds and is pretty big. It includes a pool and a slide! :0

The little area shown previously in the old Jamaa Journal is in the top right corner.

Another den item contest is being held. Last time, didn't the runner-up den item set also get created? So it's not really a contest anymore :|

The three choices are Mechanical Future, Excavation Site and Sand Castle. 

(My favorite is the mechanical future! ^-^)

5 Things That Will Improve Animal Jam

Hi buddies, this is Stang!

This post is a sequel to 5 Things That Will Make Animal Jam Better.

Animal Jam is a great game; you can talk with your friends, play games and basically have fun. However, there's just these few things that you just wish Animal Jam had (or maybe didn't have). Here's a list of five things that will improve Animal Jam! :)
Random note: I think the last one is the best.

1. A Way to Earn Diamonds

The truth is, diamonds are way too hard to earn through the Daily Spin and one diamond a week just isn't enough. There should be a way to buy diamonds with gems or win them through games.

So far, I think the best idea is through adventures; diamonds are very valuable, so it would be fair to have them as rewards for completing adventures. Other ideas are making special diamond-winning games, a diamond fair (like how you can win tickets form the Summer Carnival), or winning them from achievements.

2. Personalizing Your Game

What if you could not only personalize your den, but your whole Animal Jam world? A fellow blog reader, Sayuri Kimura, suggested being able to customize your game to match your own weather (or just for fun). 

(This isn't exactly like modes, because modes are preset.)

3. Build Your Own Den

Minecraft house! :D

I think it would be extremely amazing if you could purchase walls, floors, stairs and more with gems and then build your own den! Decorating your den is one thing, but building your den is a whole new category. 

It might be a less block-like Minecraft. 

4. Better Moderators

When asked about ways to improve Animal Jam, Kat said, "They [Animal Jam] should have better moderators."

Many scammers out there run freely everyday 

5. More Equality Between Nonmembers and Members

Honestly, I feel like I might rant about this. Animal Jam used to be a really great game, and it still is, but just not as great since the time there were those few updates that made Animal Jam's nonmember and member difference way bigger than everyone was comfortable with. There's a few main things that changed that I will point out, but not in any specific order.

This picture accurately describes the Forgotten Desert...

First of all, the Forgotten Desert adventure really changed Animal Jam. Now, instead of working hard to trade and haggle over rares with other jammers, you could just buy membership and play Forgotten Desert to win a spike. This means that someone could join Animal Jam then become super-rare within days. You can see this from two perspectives (or more, but I'm just going to write out the main two, you cans write the other ones in the comments):

1. Animal Jam Headquarters and the new player's: back then, one of the only ways to become rares was to be an old player, not necessarily beta, but just long enough to be there when rares were in stores so you could buy them and then trade them for better stuff later when they were removed form stores. Honestly this is actually pretty unfair to new players, because they never had a chance to be there when more rares were in. AJHQ wants to attract more players so they can earn money, so they made the members-only Forgotten Desert with it's tempting prizes so more people would play and buy membership. Theologically, it's a smart move. However, they either ignored or didn't think of what the non-members would say. 
2. The non-member's point of view: most of us (I'm a non-member) don't buy membership and probably never will. This is the group I'm talking about; not the one who sometimes gets membership, sometime's doesn't. We are important. We actually do make money for AJHQ, believe it or not, because we play Animal Jam, love it, introduce our friends to it, who in turn play it and might buy membership. Now that we're unhappy, we stop playing or whatever, I don't know, rant about it to our friends and tell them not to play it, then Animal Jam technically loses money (they are missing out on an opportunity to earn more money). 

Note: I just realized I've been calling the Forgotten Desert adventure the Sacred Desert adventure the whole time. I changed it now, but if I made that mistake in any other post, I apologize.

Secondly, when Animal Jam made gifting only for members, that affected the YouTube mailbox video stuff. I don't watch YouTube that much, but this is what would have happened in the extreme: (basically, the opposite of "in a perfect world"; in a dystopian world...)

1. Animal Jam creates and update where only members can gift.
2. Non-members can no longer gift.
3. Famous jammers now receive only half of what they used to earn.
4. Mail Time videos are getting worse.
5. Mail Time videos fail.
6. People no longer stumble upon amazing Animal Jam videos.
7. This results in less new players.
8. Current Animal Jam players get old and stop playing.
9. Animal Jam has very few players now.
10. Animal Jam shuts down due to lack of earnings.

Obviously, that probably won't happen but then main point is that this might mean that non-members have a lower chance of becoming famous or rare. (The rare part applies to both the Forgotten Desert adventure and this part.)

Another thing that I really don't like is how only members can switch to safe chat. (Non-members who made their accounts before the big change can continue to use it, but once they switch to another chat, they can't switch back.)

Basically, to make us happy, AJHQ shouldn't take away our rights and abilities. The eagles only adventure wasn't really taking away an ability, but that still makes us unhappy :P

Llamas and Spring Bunnies

Hi buddies, this is Stang!

There are two new animal in Animal Jam! Only one has been released, and the other will be soon.

There has been a wild llama sighting! Is this going to be the next, upcoming animal? Probably. Who is 1213? Most likely a tester account owned by AJHQ for new animals. If you try to search up 1231, nothing shows up, just like the alpha accounts and this one weird account that had a _ in it's name.
By the way, the animal is really off center, especially in the little circle below the big identity tag.

Animal Jam Got Hacked

Hi buddies, it's Stang!

You've probably heard about how Animal Jam recently got hacked. Honestly, I don't even know if it's true, but here's some facts and other stuff:

1. Around the time Animal Jam got presumably hacked, the game reverted into offline/update mode. 
2. Some people said that some of their items, gems and diamonds were missing. However, this isn't necessarily due to the hack.
3. Animal Jam won't shut down; AJHQ has invested a lot of money into Animal Jam, and it's pretty successful... hopefully. 
4. The jammer WretchedJungle said "Sure. Tell everyone that I'm destroying the game they once loved." in the comment section on one of his Google+ posts. However, I'm not certain it was Wretched who hacked Animal Jam; it's just from what I heard. 
5. The person who hacked Animal Jam is most likely an adult, since most kids aren't as good at computer coding and all that stuff.

5 Things That Will Make Animal Jam Better

Hey buddies! This is Stang.

I decided to make a post about ten things that would greatly improve Animal Jam. They're not in any type of order but just the ones I thought of first.

1. Gem Transfer

Do you have multiple accounts? Does one have a lot more gems than the other? I have that problem too. My main account has 100/100 clothing and 104,000 gems as my other accounts have a lot fo free space but are broke.

If you had the ability to send gems to other player and accounts, you'd have no problem with gems.

However, there's a problem: some people would make tons of accounts just for the starter 1000 gems in it. People would stop playing mini games to earn gems and there would be a lot of ghost accounts floating around.


2. Multiple Trades at the Same Time

It's pretty boring waiting for someone to accept a trade, and the solution to that is being able to send multiple trades at once.

3. More Inventory Space

Most people obviously need more inventory space and also space for other stuff too; clothing, den items, buddies, and more. We don't really need more den and animal space that badly, but some people like having one of each (collectors).

4. Official Clans

Clans are cool but it would be even better if we could form official clans. I'm not really into clans on Animal Jam but I know a lot of jammers are. There could be a separate "buddy" system for clans, and it would include their information of where to meet, their territory, weather another clan wants to attack or negotiate with you, clan name, members, and more.

However, some problems may occur: disputes over "territory" (this can be solved by letting territory being the den of the clan's leader), leadership, who wins in a "battle" (well this one already exists) and the fact that famous people would have practically everyone in their clans.

5. Special Modes

I think there should be special modes on Animal Jam to help make it more fun.

Useful modes include:

1. Solitary mode: nobody or nobody but yourself is shown. This will help bloggers, video makers, famous people who want peace and others. 
2. Zoom mode: so we can zoom in and out. This probably shouldn't be allowed for labyrinth type of games, though. 
3. Clan mode: you can only see people in clans and their clan will be indicated with a name, color and symbol. This way, an innocent passerby won't be yelled at for trespassing territory.

3. Try not to be wasteful with your water (examples: when you're brushing your teeth or taking a shower).
4. Donate to World Wildlife Fund or Nature Conservancy
5. Donate old stuff

New Update, New Look, and New Land!

The new update brings a similar yet different log in page! One thing I don't understand is that there is a "home" button, but isn't this page supposed to already be the home page?
